By joining the GHTC you are implying agreement with the Club's core objectives as described in our constitution.

    • To stimulate interest in hiking;
    • to establish and maintain trails for hiking;
    • to encourage awareness of the natural environment;
    • to promote the conservation of the environment.


TRAIL USERS' CODE

By becoming a member you will be asked to agree to the following Trail User's Code; please review as it is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with the code and commit to practicing these ethical procedures.

    • Take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints
    • Hike only along the marked routes
    • Use the stiles; do not climb fences
    • Walk around a Farmer’s cultivated field, not across it
    • Leash your dog near farms or livestock
    • Avoid potential fire hazards by not building fires
    • Leave flowers, plants and wildlife for others to enjoy
    • Leave the trail clean; carry out all litter
    • Do not camp on trails
