International Trails Day, End to End Kissing Bridge Trail
Come join us for our second annual end to end hike, West Montrose Bridge (kissing bridge) to Guelph Covered Bridge, 24 kms.
Meeting Location: Meet at the Covered Bridge in Guelph at 8:30 am or at the Westmontrose Bridge at 9:00 am. Car shuttle will be used for this hike. (If more than 20 hikers register we will look into ordering a bus to the west Montrose Bridge at a cost of approx. $10.00 each)
Pace: Moderate, Mostly flat walking on a multi-use limestone trail.
Difficulty Level: 2 due to the length (25 kms) 5.5 - 6 hours
Parking near the West Montrose Bridge, Middlebrook Road and #86 (6016 Middlebrook Rd., West Montrose, ON., N0B 2V0). From the parking lot we will hike down the covered bridge road to see the famous kissing bridge.
Please note that we will be walking along some side roads (Silvercreek Parkway #39) and one main road (Woodlawn sidewalk most of the way) following all safety protocols during this time.
Please pack: lunch, snacks, water, sunscreen, bug spray, extra pair of hiking socks.
Support stop planned near the half way point.
Hike will take place rain or shine.
